One of the most exciting parts of planning a wedding is finding the perfect wedding dress. The dress you choose will be one that makes you “feel like a bride” regardless of where the wedding venue is. If you are planning a beach wedding, you can have a beautiful wedding, fabulous attire for the wedding party and favors as well as bouquets that suit the beach atmosphere.
A Gown Fit for the Beach
Choosing the gown for a beach wedding can be of any style you want. Just because the wedding is taking place on the beach, does not mean that you cannot wear a princess gown and the wedding party dresses have to be anything but glamorous. If it is an extremely warm day, it may be necessary to have an extra change of clothes to wear following the ceremony, just to help you stay comfortable during the remainder of the event.
Beach Friendly Bouquets
Wedding bouquets may wilt if the temperature is too hot, but you could opt for silk flowers. A silk bouquet looks as wonderful as fresh flowers, except they hold up in the heat. Choose flowers, silk or real, that are colorful or use white flowers and tie with a ribbon that coordinates with the ocean for a unique look.
Beach Themed Favors
The wedding party gifts could consist of colorful flip-flops for wearing after the ceremony or you could make them a wedding party favors basket that contains sunscreen, sunglasses and other beach appropriate items.
Have Fun throughout the Planning
Food for the guests and wedding party could be simple items such as those you would expect to take along for a day at the beach. Include a variety of finger foods and a variety of beverages or you could have a barbecue for a fun beach themed reception. This is your special day, so the goal is to have fun and enjoy it. If you have to change from the princess gown into a bathing suit and sarong, you can do so and still have the new bride look. If you have fun with the planning, the wedding itself will also be fun and exciting.
